I was a patient with three high-risk HPV infections—CIN1. Before meeting Dr. Thangesweran, my gynecologist had only told me to have a PAP smear every six months for monitoring. I always felt this was inappropriate and uncomfortable, so I found Dr. Thangesweran on Google, reviewed his profile, and decided to switch doctors.
Dr. Thangesweran is a highly qualified and experienced gynecologist, gynecologic oncologist, and laparoscopic and robotic surgeon.
When I first met him, I felt very comfortable with him. He is a very meticulous doctor with a gentle and approachable communication style, making me feel relaxed. He explained things very clearly, which eased my tension, worry, and concerns.
The doctor helped me with the tests step by step. The report showed that my HPV infection had increased by one level, and the lesion had progressed to CIN2. Before meeting him, we had consulted several hospitals in Johor, but none were able to help due to my mum’s heart condition. We were then referred to Dr. Thangesweran and decided to proceed with the Mirena coil insertion. Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful as the cancer cells continued to grow rapidly even after chemotherapy within 9 months.
With his advice and guidance, we proceeded with the surgery and now my mum is recovering well.

I had robotic surgery for ovarian cystectomy and hysterectomy on October 2025 due to severe endometriosis. The date was near Deepavali but he said don't worry. Even during the holiday, he still came and visited his patients. He always listens and tries his best to understand his patients. My deepest thanks and gratitude for him.

I was suffering with heavy menstrual bleeding due to fibroids. Came across Dr Thanges at Sunway Medical Centre and fixed an appoinment to consult him. He listened patiently to my problems and advise me to proceed with surgery to remove the fibroids using latest technology which is robotic surgery. Dr Thanges is expertise in robotic surgery. Ever since the first consultation, I gained confidence with his clear explanation about the treatment plans and benefits of having the robotic surgery such as minimal invasive and faster recovery. The surgery was sucessful. I had less pain and managed to walk by myself next day after the surgery. Dr Thanges was very caring, humble and kind doctor. He really took care of me very well throughout my stay at hospital. During post surgery check ups, he checked my recovery process and answer all my questions without any hesitations. I would strongly recommend Dr Thanges for any woman who suffering from fibroids.

Dr. Thangesweran Ayakannu is truely a wonderful and incredible doctor. Not only has he taken a good care of my mother (Yani Tirto) prior and after surgery but he is also a very interactive person.
